WHAT YOU DO
In-partnership with the General Manager you will be responsible for the overall management and leadership of the store, with a focus on delivering and exceeding sales targets, store operations and inventory management. The incumbent will also be responsible for executing key business drivers and initiatives that focus on maximizing profitability and productivity. As an AGM you must lead by example in maintaining a high level of integrity, dedication and possesses strong business acumen that motivates and inspires your team to provide a first-class guest experience. As part of the Hemisphere Cannabis Co team the AGM must elevate our brand awareness and actively engage within the communities in which we operate our businesses.


RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support in recruiting potential candidates that fit our brand and vision to achieve hiring need and build a continuous pipeline of high preforming individuals.
  • Identify and recommend any processes, policies and procedure opportunities in all areas of our business to drive continues improvement and functionality while mitigating costs.
  • Oversees the store team in the efficient execution of all inventory management tasks, store merchandising and supply management and reduce shrink.
  • In the case of product recalls; Adhere to provincial, federal, and vendor instructions to ensure product is safely collected, housed and inventoried.
  • Continually elevates and develops an expertise level of product and service knowledge, both personally and for the store team creating a welcoming atmosphere and educational experience in store.
  • Identify and communication sales trends to your General Manager and support with sales forecasting driving profitability.
  • Ensure the store meets and exceeds all municipal/provincial/federal regulations to protect the company license and the brand.
  • Leads by example in the delivery of a personalized elevated experience to all our guests and provide relevant education. Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of cannabis strains, consumption methods, products, responsible use, and ensuring our guests gets the right product that match their needs and wants.
  • Establishes a sales-focused culture through effective sales management with the store team. Accountable to drive that same focus with the Team Leaders to develop their abilities and potential.
  • Determine merchandising strategies that maximize profitable sales and provide feedback regarding product assortment based on the needs of our business and community.
  • Accountable for continually analyzing product sales reports and implementing actionable that improve category sales.
  • Operate with the Brands Ethos, Vision, Values and Mission in everyday interaction with store guest and fellow team members.
  • Champion and drive a safe, clean, community-centric store environment. Identify both internal and external business opportunities that detract from our brand or impact our ability to drive sale and manage accordingly.
  • Manage the execution of all Standard Operating Procedures and uphold all Operational Excellence tools.
  • Responsible for all cash desk management processes including opening and closing procedures.
  • Adhere to and uphold our Lost Prevention Procedures in order to prevent internal/external loss opportunities and endangerment.
  • Complete all necessary administrative paperwork in a timely manner including creating store schedules and ensure appropriate store coverage.
  • Create a supportive environment to inspire and elevate team members through effective goal setting, performance evaluations, development of the store team, provide formal/informal training and deliver timely feedback and observations.


WHAT YOU BRING
  • 3 - 5 years of experience of Store Manager/Assistant Store Manager experience in a high-volume guest service or retail environment with a proven track record of leadership and successful results.
  • 1 – 2 years experience managing in cannabis, alcohol, or other government-regulated industries.
  • CannSell Certification.
  • A valid G licence and a clean driving record.
  • Willingness to deliver/transport cannabis to guests and between locations.
  • Energetic and enthusiastic with a passion for our products and for delivering Best in Class service and results.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, organization and execution skills. You get the job done.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and be agile in the face of changing guest & business needs and changing legislation.
  • Works incredibly well under pressure. Maintains composure, positivity, and keeps employees engaged and focused in the face of uncertainty and stress.
  • Strong leadership skills, and the ability to coach, develop, and mentor managers and team members.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and POS capabilities.
  • Experience working remotely or reporting into supervisor who is situated in another city or province an asset.
  • Strong working knowledge of Local, Provincial, and Federal Laws and Regulations pertaining to adult use cannabis retail operations.
  • Strong computer skills (MS office preferred).
  • Post Secondary education preferred.
  • Ability to provide a criminal record check is mandatory prior to onboarding.
